It began its activities on October 12, 1934. Important cultural events, exhibitions, workshops, seminars and congresses are held at the Casa de la Cultura. Here is a collection of old photographs of Los Mochis, as well as different aspects of the history of Mexico, both places and characters, and are in permanent exhibition to the public.
The house of Culture is currently the venue for plastic arts contests such as the living room of the Plastic Ahomense "Edgardo Coghland", as well as the Hall of Death José Guadalupe Posada, in addition to being the place where the gallery is deposited Municipal, a work that largely remains on display in this venue.
The collections of archeological pieces and diverse objects of different cultural and historical aspects of the region, a good part of them coming from the collection of the master Espinosa, are in exhibition in this place, which makes this House of Culture in a Site of special tourist interest.
